Slack Integration with Jenkins

We can use Slack to get notification of the Jenkins Job status

1.)Go to https://slack.com
2.)Create new workspace
3.) Give your email address example 'something@gmail.com'
4.)Create new channel example: #perf-test




5.)Go to https://<'something>.slack.com/apps
6.)Browse for ‘Jenkins’ app

7.)Install Jenkins CI App in your slack

8.)Click on the ‘Add Configuration’

9.)  In jenkins , Go to Plugin Manager and Install Slack Notification Plugin

Steps To Configure With Jenkins

1.) Go To Jenkins Job
2.) Click on Manage Jenkins
3.) Click on Configure System and then Go to Global Slack Notification Settings

Note: Please remember to replace the example Base URL and Integration Token in the screenshot below with your own.


4.) Now Go to Jenkins Job for which you want to configure Slack Notofications
5.)Click on Configure and Select Post Build Actions
6.)Select Slack Notification Section and fill info in Advance Section as well like Base Url and Token like you provided in above step
7.) Click on Test Button to check if its Success message

8.) Now trigger the build and wait for the messages in the #perf-test channel created





Now you can see in above picture , user is getting messages from Jenkins Job in this slack channel
